Happy birthday! As a new Christian after a lifetime as an atheist from a Jewish heritage background, I have learned so much from your letters. I didn't know anything about CN and was blessed to get into a faith Bible based church that develops my desire to serve like Jesus. Thank you for helping me grow my discernment as the world swirls and people use the Bible and God to justify horrors. My simple belief is that God will never tell me to do anything that is a sin. I wish others had that same simple belief.
I love the line "a lively desire to obey God" and she gives "the greatest power she possesses-- her freedom". What joy to have her feminine strength revered and given as a model to all.
One day a friend of mine from church pointed out to me that God Ask Mary! That made me want to 😭! God ask! 💕
Women need to see that for what it means. Man must ask and respect her answer. Those that don’t anger me.
I will also say “girls are not taught to how to say NO.” As well. 🥹 I bet most people have never thought about teaching their daughters how to say no and mean it.
I didn’t have girls. I had 3 beautiful boys. Now men. I did teach them to be respectful to girls. I taught them that they are equals. One of my daughter in laws thanked me for teaching her husband that. 🥰 Well actually 2 have. The other said she appreciated how much he helps. That her friend are jealous of that. It was the Church and Free to be you and Me. ☺️
