I found myself crying too! And for you too! That Jewish guy from about 2000 years ago, expressed compassion to all people, even supposed enemies, like Samaritans. I believe that Pope Leo reflects care for all G-d’s children - just as Jesus taught us all to reference “Our Father.” The political leader in Israel seems to be adding to antisemitism through the unjustified violence toward neighbors in the region. Unfortunately, many people don’t distinguish between the country leadership and the world-wide Jewish faithful. So when DJT and Bibi have a falling out, I am concerned that Jewish folks will suffer. Hopefully, the community associated with Mr. Hale will be a safe space for us to discuss and share both tears and joys.
