When the shepherd remembers the migrant is also the Christ in disguise, the gates of heaven creak open a little wider. Blessed be the bishops who trade comfort for courage.

Barron needs to step up ! If he wants to be republican that’s fine but he can’t be maga and support the orange messiah and maybe pope Leo needs to call him to Rome for a Jesus come to meeting session!

I wonder whether he has supported the Pope. I think Barron is more interested in Barron.

For sure! He made millions with his dvds he made and I have to say I did enjoy them but when he came out as a maga I was very disappointed in him! He’s a theologian by trade so he’s not stupid so join maga makes no sense!!

It is easy to be a real sweetie like Cupich when speaking out on a heartfelt subject like the poor treatment of immigrants.

Maybe Pope Leo needs a stern kick in the family jewels...I was going to say ass, but he would like that. He can't say he is the Vicar of Christ, and support his initiatives. We all know those.

In September the four bishops of Iowa sent a pastoral letter to every diocese and every parish. In the letter they said they support immigrants and will do everything they can to help immigrants. It was discussed at a mass I attended during the homily and everyone applauded when the priest finished.

Thank you Cardinal Cupich for being so vocal about the migrants. They are being treated so inhumane, and we should all be supporting you and the Pope.

Archbishop Cupich puts the onus on his fellow bishops, but also on other American Catholics to confront their lack of charity towards immigrants.

“Cupich decries the human cost of aggressive immigration raids: “Families are being torn apart. Children are left in fear. These actions wound the soul of our city. Let me be clear. The Church stands with migrants.”

Yes.

We stand with all the weak and defenseless.

Brutes and torturers cannot stand against the power of faith, and of grace.

To the memory of the Blessed Jerzy Popiełusko

PS to all my dear readers I will make mistakes over the next few days because I have acquired Covid, and my brain is occasionally a bit foggy.

More so than usual, actually 🤣

Let’s not excuse the silence of Archbishop Salvatore Cordelione of San Francisco who like Bishop Barron and Cardinal Dolan sit as advisory members on Trump’s Commission for Religious Liberty. Cordelione’s silence on the immoral treatment of immigrations and migrants is deafening and completely out of step with the Church and the very person of Jesus.
