Speaking out about how our President handles immigration how about he take a stand and speak out against his sick evil men that abuse kids who enjoy pornography. And the sad thing, is these men aren't ashamed of how this make them look as an organization!.
Popes Benedict, Francis and Leo have already done a great deal of work regarding the issue of sexual abuse in the church. Leo has expanded the definition of abuse to include abuse of power and authority (often used as leverage by abusers to intimidate or silence victims), he met with the Pontifical Commission for the Protection of Minors as an urgent matter almost immediately after he took office, and also had a long meeting with the chair of that commission who was scheduled to step down shortly (a new commissioner has since been appointed). Pope Leo wanted to make sure he was completely up-to-date on everything that had been done to that point.
Since then, twice he has addressed bishops, most recently this week, and said he will absolutely not tolerate any bishop who hides an abuser. There will be no more taking forever to investigate a claim, hiding it under a bunch of papers in somebody’s office, denying any knowledge, passing the buck. He will absolutely not put up with any of that. He said the same thing about three months ago to a meeting of bishops.
He’s known for being a good listener, he gathers information, he’s careful and meticulous but once he makes a decision, he doesn’t back down. He’s taking a hard line on abuse in the church. He’s not only drawing a very clean line about not protecting abusers, he’s been very clear in speaking to priests and bishops about prevention and about maintaining self-discipline and chastity. The Commission is working on educational materials, procedures and policies to educate parishes, schools and other institutions about prevention.
This matter is a very high priority for him, but it doesn’t get much space in the media.
Let me rebuttal that comment. Great deal of work? How, by promoting these men to high positions in his cabinet? The head of the Political Commission has issues as well with child abuse. Listen this pope gets all the media attention he can possibly stand. The Vatican has its own media Co. that broadcasts to all corners of the world, but he’s too busy mtg with leaders who pray to Buddha, busy planting trees being concerned about immigration in the US, hosting teenagers and kids at the Vatican where he knows he has men that PREY ON CHILDREN
You call that working hard at solving the problem. To hell with all his excuses that HAVE NOT IMPACTED OR EVEN TOUCHED THE SURFACE OF THE PROBLEM. What a disgrace!
Okay Leo if that's your stance on immigration. Send a plane to pick up
these illegals and take them back to your country. Use some of these evil men coming into our country to satisfy the sexual cravings of your priest, cardinal etc.
“But Pope Leo’s north star remains: the stranger remains a person to be received and protected, not a problem to be fenced away.”
May the mercies of the Lord our God flow over us with living water.
I am so grateful for Pope Leo and his speaking out about Trumpism. We need him to do what many of our American bishops are refusing to do.

But that also means that we have to receive and protect the sinners, racists, abusers, and criminals, right?
Good morning from a glorious day here in my beloved South Africa
I would love to become a paid subscriber but I cannot afford to do so, I am sorry.
Thank you for your faith-filled content always, especially in view of our increasingly unsettled world.
My life long Catholic faith makes me strong and quietly grateful for everything I have in a beautiful country where we are all struggling together.
Kindest regards and respect
