Life is not a simple polar (i.e., black vs. white) set of issues. The Catholic Church should not act that its dogma supports such an inaccurate separation. Being "pro-life" encompasses many aspects in our lives.

People receive the Eucharist with unrepented sins all the time. Probably the norm! Aren’t these the ones who most need it?

You are supposed to have a good conscience before receiving the Eucharist.

Whether other people do or don't really isn't any of our business.

Our business is supposed to be our own souls.

And if we truly work to improve our own standing with God, then what others do is unimportant.
