Chris I don’t remember the USCCB fighting for healthcare. They were against the ACA because of birth control and abortion.

Hi, Nancy! I was narrowing my focus to the bishops' opposition in 2025 for Obamacare subsidies expiring. I agree they weren't helpful in passing the ACA in 2010.

The USCCB's fought tooth and nail against the ACA.

Congressional pro-lifers poked so many holes in Obamacare that it has more holes than Swiss cheese.

Catholic sisters fought for Obama care tooth and nail. Much respect.

It depends upon the order. Little Sisters of the Poor is an order that supports and takes care of elderly in the nursing homes they run. They fought the requirement of the ACA to provide birth control for employees. They took it to the SCOTUS and are still fighting it. They want an exemption from providing birth control to employees.

Could not be a more blatant abandonment: " A society that abandons its sick betrays its soul."

Thank you for the article, Chris I am watching a show with Dr Henry Louis Gates Jr. it’s about the inequalities we in America are suffering from. It’s my hope faith and prayers for such a little boy two months old named Juan who is in , a Texas detention center in Dilly, Texas that breaks my heart as he is sick with pneumonia. We should not treat our fellow citizens like this. I will pray for Pope Leo ♌️ and everyone in our world tonight.
