Sounds like a good move. He's a fairly young man and could be Pope for a long time. Long-term isolation is not good for anyone. I know he keeps a busy schedule so not as though he lacks human contact, but having real friendships is important too.
He will be surrounded by fellowship and friendship, a little like Jesus was surrounded by fellowship, friendship, sharing bread and wine with his disciples. It's a good things.
Chris, not a good photo shot! Looks at first glance like 3 women will join him!😂😂😂 I love the idea of living in community. Too many diocesan rectories have only a single priest.
Hi Diane, He used to live in the same building with Sr. Nathalie ( on his left) and some other Sisters and folks who worked th the Vatican. I think this was taken right after he was elected. But, take your point!, " Roommates" is a generic term and we see him with two women- nuns. Popes in the past had " live-in" cadres of Sisters who were like housekeepers and cooks and kept things going.
Pope Leo the Lionhearted wats to stay in touch with his brothers in arms, after all he isn't a prince, he's a down to earth leader of the Catholic Church. Leo has humility. I can't say that about any other leader, but being humble is what the world needs.
I love Pope Leo more every day. I was deeply saddened by the passing of the wonderful Pope Francis and worried about who would be chosen as his successor. The Vatican could not have made a better choice than Pope Leo.
This arrangement makes total sense in order to maintain Pope Leo's physical and mental health over the years that he will serve Christ as our Pontiff. Sharing meals and conversation contribute to overall well-being not just for Pope Leo but for all of us.

Pope ♌️ seems so very nice 👍. I hope everything is well with him and you Chris. God’s Blessings to you both and my prayers.

Ha! That's exactly what I was thinking. I was compelled to read on.
Maybe the photo worked as gentle cluckbait!
No, but it did get us wondering, didn't it.

I am impressed almost daily with what an amazing choice he is for pope. He is giving me one of my few reasons for hope. We are so blessed!
