I am an 85 year old gay American Protestant clergyman and Church historian. And an avid admirer of Pope Leo. This video warmed my heart. My best friend is a Roman Catholic. We met long ago in first grade, and have been best friends ever since.

Meanwhile, at the USCCB afternoon session today, Bishops Barron and Strickland had their “step up to the mic” moments. 🤦🏼‍♀️

Legally an 18 year old can fall in love with a 65 year old. If an 18 year old falls in love with a 17 year old it’s not pedophilia. Pedophiles don’t feel love for their victims. It’s about power, control, and self-gratification.

Homosexual relationships are not pedophiles. They are grown men and grown women. Even if they discover in junior high or high school they are homosexual it’s something they accept. Pedophiles groom younger people and take the choice away from the younger people. There is no comparison between homosexual and pedophiles.

What are “grown men and grown women”? Are they 18 year olds? If so, why not 17 year olds? Isn't it kind of subjective?

Why are they 18? Because that’s how old they are. At age 18 young people legally are considered adults and grown.

So if an 18-year-old falls in love with a 65 year old, that's perfectly okay, but if a 17-year-old falls in love with an 18-year-old, then the latter is a “pedophi1e”?
