No wonder It’s a Wonderful Life is his favorite Christmas movie. George Bailey puts aside his own desires to serve others. The sign under his father’s portrait says “All that you take with you is what you have given away.” I have added “No one is called to dominate; all are called to serve.” to my list of important quotes to live by. Merry Christmas❣️

A good reflection for everyone on Christmas Eve. I don’t think the way som my fellow parishioners do, and it sometimes makes me feel uncomfortable.

After much prayer and discernment, our church came to the same conclusions about how we needed to change in these very ways that Pope Leo is describing. We felt the Spirit was moving us in that direction (as I believe the Spirit is moving the pope). For those of us who follow, we are being moved to a place of greater unity in Jesus. That process started for us about 6 years ago. I am sad to say we lost many beloved members in that process. Turns out they liked being inward-facing and exclusive and they loved clinging to their dogma ahead of all else. But now, these years later we have grown much bigger than we were 6 years ago because it turns out that there are many people searching for that kind of servant-led Christianity and not the Pharisaical, judgmental style.

You and Leo are calling me back. As a lapsed Catholic for over 50 years. weddings and funerals. but not weekly mass. Thank you. BTW, JD Vance needs to be excommunicated.

May we all remember: It is humility that gives grace the ability to move. Pope Leo is a bright light in the darkness of the world today for all people. I am thankful you are shining a light on his work. Have a Merry Christmas!

I love reading your posts.im not looking for perfection in anyone nor will I judge anyone either. I want to do my part to be humble and kinder to my fellow mankind just like Pope Leo example. He is what the world needs right now. May he have a long pontificate. Good luck Pope Leo. Merry Christmas everyone .
