Hope this will gladden you, friends: picked my mom up for coffee today. We drove by a pod of Habitat for Humanity houses being renovated not far from her. There’s a big banner on the fence she says went up after the admin pulled the funding from Catholic Charities. It says: “POPE LEO VILLAGE - Named in honor of his commitment to service”

We must have leaders with empathy. Compassion is a great human trait. We need this in a leader.

Lacking in empathy is Satan’s work.

Deport those with hate. It’s poisoning all of us. Like a contagion.

The hate is a contagion. It spreads darkness everywhere. Some people become infected and mistake it as strength.

Even people that choose love over hate may suffer from the seemingly endless amount of hate. It can really harm both mental and physical health.

May the light of God’s love strengthen us all so we grow in love.

Love is more powerful than hate and it can also be contagious!

My God this is so heartbreaking. Pope Leo is the world's advocate for peace. Not just Catholics, all humans of freewill.

Every American ought to feel shame for what our "leaders" are doing to the rest of the world whether we support those actions or not. Call it guilt by association. I see what our administration is doing and I get sick to my stomach. I see what Pope Leo is doing and I pray I have the strength, clarity, and compassion he shows with every action.

I took a moment to meditate on what pain those signatures, yet prayers of hope and peace. Don't let anyone convince us that ALL life is precious. The unborn, children of every race and creed and the political prisoner facing execution. All life is sacred. Take a minute and ponder the grief stricken parents behind each of these signatures. As a Dad, it's unbearable that my beloved USA is part of this unholy mess. God Bless our advocate the Vicar of Christ on earth - Pope Leo XIV.
