Imagine telling a bishop he can’t bring Christ into a building that’s already full of souls begging for mercy. That’s not law and order, that’s spiritual malpractice.

ICE just denied Communion to the imprisoned while preaching about “religious freedom.” You can’t claim to defend faith while padlocking the Body of Christ at the gate.

It’s cruelty because many of those detained people are most likely Catholic.

Freedom of religion? Don't those being detained have a right to practice their faith. This cruel and unnecessary.

And I kept hearing from right family members that the liberals don’t want freedom of religion. Don’t make sense.

My guess is one of the things they’re hiding is brutality. Another might be the absence of individuals thought to be there.

Unspeakably sad. I commend those attempting to share the body of Christ and love of God. And because they followed the ‘advance notice’ mandate and were still denied entrance, I worry about what is going on inside these detention centers.

As we are all children of Christ...this should never be up for debate! And then it makes me think of all those poor souls that also was not given the right to receive Christ before their deaths...😪🙏📿🤔

Is this what evil looks like? They are cutting people off from the body of Christ.

I continue to wonder what the Republicans have in mind when they claim that the U.S. is, or should be, a "Christian country."

They like to say Christian Nationalist, but I think it is more like White Nationalist. I have not seen much Christianity.

What they consider a Christian country is one that white people dominate and people of color are not allowed into the country.

Pope Leo should excommunicate Vance for blocking the deliverance of Holy Communion. There’s supposed to be separation of church and state. Vance’s actions are clearly in violation of that American values.

Even in prisons, it is considered one of the rights of prisoners to receive visits from the clergy and to receive the sacraments. Vance is a thug.

Try a soft approach. Only priests should go there. No crowd. Hear confessions first. Then Holy Coommunion.

Blocking the Bishop from giving the Eucharist is un- Christian! Both Trump and Vance say they are Christians. The Pope is right. Their behavior is not.

Faux Catholics. Faux Christians. And not decent human beings. The Vance “Catholics” are a disgrace to the faith and to basic decency.
