Sorry, Bishop, much too little and much too late. It's becoming obvious that you no longer support Jesus with the fervor needed in this flailing world. Pity.

There’s nothing diplomatic about this. Jesus would not calmly have a conversation about harming others to open up communication. He would rebuke this evil at once and take action to help the immigrants.

And then people wonder why no one wants to be a Catholic anymore?? When the rot of greed and power-hunger and hatred reaches to the upper levels of the church (not Pope Leo, oc, but all of the Opus Dei cretins) why would any sane person think it might be a safe place to find God's love?? I have found that lately, its easier to be a true Catholic if I avoid the avoid the man-made gilded trappings that have obscured the true message. Laws in the early Chuch were meant to be guideposts to lead us to Christ, but now they've overgrown to the point of being thorny barriers to keep the unworthy souls from reaching His love (without paying for it, that is). It is heartbreaking to this cradle Catholic.

I don’t know where you go to church if you do, but I don’t see greed, power hungry and hatred at my church. Maybe you should change parishes.

Sadly, I live in a very red county in Florida, and it bleeds over into the churches in my town. Also, I'm mainly referring to the higher-ups who opposed Pope Francis and now Pope Leo.

Barron is NOT America's most famous bishop! That's an insult. Barron is a snake!

Barron has spoken.

Barron is more a Republican than he is a Catholic Bishop.

I’m sure Pope Leo knows and wheels are turning.

A Catholic Bishop can’t be heartless or without compassion.

Bishop Barron loves to critique others but me thinks he doth protest too much. People can see beyond the words—that those he criticizes are holding up a mirror to him. I bought his tapes and books years ago and have met him briefly a couple of times. I am sorely disappointed in his fall. Please do not vote for him to lead the American Bishops.

I hope he doesn’t get it. His ideas are totally opposite Pope Leo’s. He’s only concerned with his recognition.

Flores would be the best. He’s from Texas and has Mexican roots. Thompson used to be my pastor about 20 years ago. He’s a canon lawyer and can be strict sometimes but I liked him as a pastor.

No Bishop campaigns for the USCCB presidency, they are nominated by their brother bishops. You can make the argument that he encourages others to vote for him. You must not look at this nomination like American politics. Trust me, if you know about how the USCCB works, Bishop Barron is not the favorite to win nor is he even the third or fourth.

It seems he has put the Trump-Vance agenda (Project 2025) ahead of Gospels of Jesus Christ. It is heartbreaking.

Deaths have occurred among detainees. Upwards of 20 last official info. Of course they are no longer providing details .

A gentleman was placed in detention after grotesque and violent treatment. He was initially denied treatment, then taken to hospital , stabilized in a coma deported back and died upon arrival . These reports can be found with research and FOIA though that will of course take time .

Please pass along that people are dying right now.

Bishop Barron is more committed to the orange messiah than the true messiah. He is very disappointing as a bishop and a human being. Pope Leo is spot on and Barron needs to get with it. But this is what happens when you get rich, you forget the most valuable treasure of the church…. It’s poor!

Barron won’t get with it, it’s against his grain.

He needs to be replaced. Poor Leo is no fool, he’ll take care of this.

Barron will be retired. 🫡

Prophetic courage is expected from church leaders, esp those in high office, as is Bishop Barron; however, his alliance with Republican operative Fr. Alexei Woltornist, who served in Trump’s DHS and participated in the crafting of Project 2025, does not leave room for such optimism. Bishop Barron’s soft approach speaks to his personal stance on the issues currently at play in this country. Human beings are made in the image of God and require each emissary of all Christian Churches to honor this as essentially sacred and undefilable. “Moral leadership is measured not by media presence or partisan gestures, but by courage to defend ‘the least of these’ when it truly counts”. Bishop Barron’s step in the right direction needs to be followed by a giant leap into the right direction.
