I think it also would make a perfect partnership with insurance companies who could treat it as an optional treatment and therefore refuse to cover it. Then, once again, those with the least economic resources would be on the outs and in most danger. Also, not all Amish children are unvaccinated. While some high Amish reject all vaccines rigidly, others accept that God created science and scientists for a good reason, and make a point of getting all the benefits of modern medicine for their beloved children.

If we all stop getting vaccinated against something, say measles, it will return. It HAS returned. So children are at risk of getting the disease.
