The Holy Father says the person is not lost even after serious crimes have been committed. Everyone including temporal leaders should take counsel and comfort from that. Repent and believe.

I was horrified when I read the DOJ is bringing back the firing squad. We have an administration that has no respect for the dignity of human life. 55 other countries allow it, mostly Middle Eastern and Asian countries and of course Russia. I live in a state that hasn’t allowed it since the 60s. Thank God for that but it makes me sick that our government allows it.

It is horrific. This is not how democracy works.

Pope Leo has been magnificent. He has exceeded all expectations. I can’t imagine how anyone else could have improved on this past year. Three Hail Mary’s and a St. Michael prayer daily for his protection and wisdom.

Leo XIV is the moral leader of the world. I spoke to a Muslim today who just spontaneously volunteered " I love Leo!"

This juxtaposition abruptly assumes the character of Lynchean black comedy, except for ... or maybe moreso for a seeming close coordination between this latest trumpian edict and Palantir's 22 point manifesto.

I live in Chicago on the north side and attend a well known parish that likes to promote outreach and inclusivity, at least on the weekly bulletin. I'm both a Lector and Eucharistic Minister. I'm still waiting for our pastor and the other priests who say mass at this parish to make public statements in support of at least Cardinal Cupich if not Pope Leo. Perhaps this Sunday?

Let us pray for the Lord's mercy upon the Faithful who must endure the antiChrist tyranny of "MAGA", especially that His Holiness, Leo XIV reign LONG and with Divine effect in this blighted continent of North America. Let us pray to St. Michael, that we be protected from the worst lusts of this orange haired abomination. Perhaps, if, by an Act of God, this beast repents, the Faithful might be able to pray more for even his Salvation, instead of devoting ourselves to praying for divine assistance to sustain our lives beneath his iron heel.... Domine, miserere nobis!
