Did any of these bishops condemn Trump today because his name came out in the Epstein files emails today? Of course not! Kind of hard to talk with all of that egg dripping down your face. Dolan was probably in the Situation Room giving a lesson on how to come out smelling like a rose.

Exactly Daniel! I found the Bishops address to general without any “personal” in it. Will they send it to personally address to Mr. Trump and the Vice-president? That will show courage and Christ center message.

Could we know the name of the Bishops who disagreed with the address? And the name of the absentees?

Thank God for Pope Leo who FORCED the Conference to, at least tried, to follow his example!

The Trump administration is behaving in direct conflict with the teachings of the Catholic Church. I hope that Pope Leo will make a pilgrimage to Chicago, as his home is in a terrible darkness.

It’s wild to me that they’re afraid of sounding “political”. People are being snatched off the streets- NOW is the time to be political!

Wow, almost makes me want to go to church. They've come a long way from blessing the helicopters heading to vietnam.

This is excellent news. I have no idea if the current administration will listen (probably not!), but perhaps they will at least think twice. Is there a way to get the names of the Bishops who opposed?

Sadly, no. It was an anonymous vote. I imagine if it was public, it would unanimous. They're too cowardly to do otherwise.

We are all sinners. But we can stop its manifestation. We look to church leaders, to lead that. I trust Leo XIV. Free will.

Christopher: What was Archbishop Cordileone’s vote on his statement, please? Thanks

This rings somewhat hollow when you consider that the prior administration led by a supposed Catholic tried to persecute pro-lifers and Latin Mass attendees as domestic terrorists. Where was Pope Francis and a united front of American bishops then?
