A voter in Michigan’s Thumb asked a Senate nominee to prove his loyalty because of how he prays. Catholics heard that question for two centuries — and Vatican II answered it.
Thank you Chris, Abdul El Sayed is a good person and a Muslim. We all believe in the same God, pray for Abdul and his campaign and most of all please pray for Pope Leo and his recovery.❤️🩹
I agree with the sentiment that a man should not be judged by his creed and faith. However, it is inaccurate to say we believe in the same God. Muslims and Christians relate to worshiping One God, there is similarity there that needs to be affirmed. Even a Muslim would disagree with you that we worship the same God.
The fact that it’s thought that a person’s religious identity dictates their actions instead of being dictated by the Constitution comes directly from their Christian Nationalist beliefs that they believe allows them to discriminate and show no regard for others unlike them in race, ethnicity, religion and even political affiliation.
Thank you for this uplifting and multi faceted report. All issues are multi faceted and the problem is people who can only think in one dimension. This applies to Muslim fear mongering, immigration and abortion among other controversial topics.
Yes glad that El Sayed drew on JFK’s principled stance. I think it is also important to note that Tommy, formerly employed on the Hill, was asked the reverse question. Would Tommy separate the Constitution from his faith thereby retaining the separation of church and state. Tommy said no.
I would like to start by sending love, light, and prayers for a speedy recovery for Pope Leo.
I have asked over time, why would our Lord create the heavens and the earth, only to condemn the other side of the planet, because they pray differently? If you take the different faiths, and read them, they basically tell you to live a good life, and for us to be good to each other. Please forgive my “simple” explanation. I mean no disrespect for the Lord or the Holy Bible.
I learned through my Nazarene high school and church that to be a Christian you accept Jesus into your life. You strive to be a good Christian, knowing that you will fall short; however, through your prayer and reading the Bible, you keep going. Again, I apologize for the “simple” explanations.
I just pray that enough of us are able to overcome, this regime.
We have some very bright and talented people running for office, and I pray enough people will be able to see through the nonsense.
I was very blessed to accompany my husband to Egypt in 2010. I did research and then purchased some long skirts and paired them with a long sleeve camp shirt over a nice tee-shirt. I bought a beautiful scarf to use as my hijab. It was so amazing how the locals would ask if I were Muslim, and I would reply no. I just want to respect your country and your faith. It was such a wonderful visit. I was embraced by the locals, which provided a much more inclusive visit.
I just wish people could see the wolves in sheep’ clothing. We have a good size refugee program here in Twin Falls, aIdaho. Once a year our refugees will gather in our city park, and they will prepare dishes from their home countries. Some dress in native garb, and there is singing and dancing. It is such a beautiful multi-cultural event.
I am encouraged by Abdul’s campaign, Mayor Mamdani’s win. He is showing how our Muslim brothers and sisters are following through on their campaigns.
Thank you Chris for your dedication and for your hard work. I am unable to become a paid subscriber right now. However, I do enjoy reading your posts.
Please thank Pope Leo for his prayers and for being an excellent example of how you can be a man of faith. I apologize and I am so embarrassed, for the treatment he is getting from this regime.
An excellent response. He handled what was intended as a ‘gotcha’ with cool and calm dignity. He turned the table on Tommy who left in humiliation. The JFK reference was perfection.

👏
I remember this going on with
John F. Kennedy because he was Catholic.
It didn't work then, either.

Christian nationalist?
