Clarity allows stateside priests to make a choice and to act on it, as we are startingvto see. Overdue IMHO.. Grateful for clear leadership.

Some of the problem here seems to be a misunderstanding. The impression I get from right family members is this We can not afford illegal immigrants. Some also really mean just immigrants. I don’t think they realize, illegal immigrants pay taxes and they don’t qualify for Medicare because they heard of ones who do. I am just called a gullible liberal. At the same time I am told God meant for us to marry and have large families. When I mention people can’t afford it. I am told I believe that liberal lie. When I tell them we want an immigration policy they say you liberals want open borders. The hypocrisy is they say we can’t afford immigrants but we can afford large families and that is what Gods wants. They are so confused.

I apologize, Pope Leo, but the only way you’re going to get his attention, is to slap the sh*t out of his face! But we do appreciate everything you’re doing, or trying to do.

It's not the Pope's place to slap the shit out of him.

He is however well within his rights to ask JD Vance and other Trump officials claiming to be Catholic to reconsider taking sacraments until they have made amends for their sins.

And several of the US cardinals need to be called to Rome for an early retirement.

The Holy Father reminds us that “pro-life” applies to every stage of it: before birth (abortion), during life (death penalty) and until its natural conclusion (euthanasia). The latter two do not receive as much airtime as the first.

If these stances conflict with your personal views, please talk to someone about it. Research it. The beauty of this country is that we are free to make our own decisions. I also have reservations about all three issues, but I’m not going to discuss those here. The Bishop of Rome is an influence on my decisions, but there are others as well. Your views/mileage may vary. I thank Pope LeoXIV for clarifying what he believes, based on observations of societies today, things that need clarification. Not many people have the time or desire to sit down and read the catechism, itself derived by people who are both created in the image of God and also have their flaws. So I am thankful to have the clarification from the Pope as well as the freedom to make my own decision.

Do have the respect to use his correct title.

Lol, lol, lol...I used the title Mr. Given the fact that he's done nothing about the scandal of priests abusing minors and his approval by silence of the desecration of churches by the LGBTQ crowd amongst many other highly questionable decisions, being called Mr. is more than appropriate. There are others who would use far less restraint and would use other words to refer to him. Be grateful he is being referred to as Mr.
