I hate to say it, but the reason is there were big name Democrats involved as well. For ex: Bill Clinton was friendly with Epstein - various photos showing them together and the logs of Epstein's plane show Clinton was a passenger on multiple trips to his home in the Virgin Islands. Major bankers, major industrialists, Prince Andrew, of course, and other people in that social strata, who are powerful and no one wanted to touch it.
