The Bishops picked hate over love. Picked racism, pedophilia and the rich over Jesus. They did not pray for Trump, they pray for hate. All those Bishops need to be defrocked.

Well done Sisters.

Did these Bishops then go to confession for the sin of Omission? They chose to stand in the most politically charged room in the US that houses the president of the United States with a Televangelist, and prayed for a man who belongs in the deepest layer of Dante’s Inferno. The visual was 100% clear to any who saw it, so to say their actions were apolitical, is a lie.

I’ve added this to my FB because it is yet another example of DJT’s most disgusting ability to bamboozle. Such a violation of the Bishop’s commitment to their faith.

They say that they didn't know that that was going to happen. They were tricked.

Well they are adults educated men. Once they realized what was happening they should gave walked out @

Yes, I completely agree. As soon as cameras appeared, they should have left. I have never been convinced that they did not know what would happen, or that that could not foresee the consequences. You don’t get to be a Bishop without a modicum of political acumen. Their excuses ring hollow.

Beautifully put and as we have come to expect, Women Religious - the Nuns - continue to be the Prophets following the Gospel and challenging those in power. Thanks be to God for their courage, commitment and prophetic confrontation.

Amen, sisters. I am really questioning these Catholics that vote for hate instead of love for the poor, homeless, and immigrants.

Personally, I think they should be disciplined with prayer and penance, retired, or laicized.

“…the Sisters of Charity: “Images carry messages,” they wrote. “Silence carries messages, too.”

Sister is right. I rebuke those bishops, too.

Any one of the sisters would be a better bushop than those 12 Judases. Can the Pope retire all of them?. We need accountability.

I remember the US Bishops and clergy who endorsed Trump and the GOP leading up to the 2016 elections, some even referring to Dem candidates as evil. I suspect these same bishops were among those who endorsed Trump in 2016, even knowing he intended to attack immigrants, cut off aid to the most needy people at home and abroad, change laws to benefit the wealthiest and corporations over people and the environment. This did not just start with this photo op, which definitely shows their support for Trump. They chose Trump and the Magas, ignoring that their own words and actions were the opposite of Jesus' teachings, because he offered them influence and power. They used the excuse that Trump claimed he was pro-life, even when his policies and actions bely that claim.
