On March 13, 2013, a Jesuit from Buenos Aires stepped onto the loggia of St. Peter's and subverted 1200 years of papal ceremony with a single act of humility — and the Church has never been the same.
Pope Francis was a game changer. I feel like he radicalized me out of my conservative phase. Funny how the Holy Spirit has chosen popes that nobody expected: Pope John Paul II (Polish), Pope Francis (Argentinian Jesuit), and Pope Leo (American Augustinian). I'll always miss him, but I'm happy that Pope Leo is continuing his legacy.
He was my best birthday gift on March 13, 2013. Today is another birthday for me. For however many more March 13's I have I will especially remember him as one of the many blessings of my life.
This one brought me tears. Thank you.

This is really good. It certainly makes me think about my own life.
The most beloved Pope of the people❤️
The Papacy is endlessly interesting ...

“These were not accidents of temperament. This was the faith of Jesus Christ made visible.”
Yes. These are the gifts of the Holy Spirit.
