Many Catholics helped vote Trump in to end abortion, so they have no problem with voting Republican regardless of the evil that is apparent in this regime. They’ve learned to do the mental calisthenics to enable them to continue embracing the party.
I am a lifelong Catholic who just can’t think that way. It perplexes me how some clergy and laity perpetuate single issue voting without consideration of the other issues at stake.
Oh my, many small rural catholic priests told their congregations they would go to HELL if they voted democrat because democrats kill real live babies - after they are born!!!!! smdh

How? How could anyone have voted for this administration is still something I will never understand. With this man at the head of the ticket knowing everything we all knew about him is a mystery. Donald Trump did not exist in a vacuum, and he is and always was a deeply flawed human being. With his history published often in New York and New Jersey newspapers, over the radios and on TVs, how could anyone elevate him to the most powerful man on this planet? And, over the years he readily bragged about his personality flaws from the time he was a teenager until today, nothing has changed for him. And to make a point, he is not the Republican Party, what he has formed in MAGA is an aberration that must be defeated as they, he and all complicit in bringing this disaster to our shores is the most unamerican, unchristian, democracy hating political happening in my long lifetime.
It is much simpler. Fascism versus everything else, including human dignity and the planet. Catholics should not be fascists and should care for human dignity and the planet. Vote blue this time.
I think some Catholic Churches' congregation are primarily MAGAs. Especially in small rural southern Catholic Churches. They won't be voting blue because their religion (you Catholics) say they'll go to Hell. smh

I voted. I don't agree with the Catholic Church across the board or endorse having to align my vote to it. I do not support voting on a single issue and firmly stand with a seperation of Church & State . Pope Leo reminded me faith can rise over patriarchy.
I am a life long Catholic. Jesus Christ taught us to love one another. The Democratic Party better exemplifies trying to help ALL people. It’s a no brainer who I should vote for. 😊
